"quiet, tranquil," occurs in 1 Timothy 2:2 , RV, "tranquil" (AV, "quiet"); it indicates tranquillity arising from without.

has much the same meaning as No. 1, but indicates "tranquillity arising from within," causing no distrubance to others.
