denotes "a declaration of blessedness, a felicitation;" it is translated "gratulation" in Galatians 4:15 , RV (AV, "blessedness"); the Galatian converts had counted themselves happy when they heard and received the Gospel from Paul; he asks them rhetorically what had become of that spirit which had animated them; the word is rendered "blessing" in Romans 4:6,9 .
