(Heb. Nochah', נוֹחָה , rest; Sept. Νωά ), the fourth in order of birth of the sons of Benjamin, -and head of a family in the tribe of Benjamin (1 Chronicles 8:2). B.C. cir. 1850. He is probably the same with BECHER (Genesis 46:21) or IR (1 Chronicles 7:12). (See Jacob).

nō´ha ( נוחה , nōḥāh , "rest"): The fourth son of Benjamin ( 1 Chronicles 8:2 ). It is probable that in Judges 20:43 , instead of "a resting-place" we should read "Nohah," which may have been the settlement of the family.
