(Heb. Sharar', שָׁרָר, strong, Sept. Ἀραϊ v v.r. Σαράρ ), the father of Ahiam the Hararite, one of David's mighty men (2 Samuel 23:33). B.C. cir. 1040. In the parallel passage (1 Chronicles 11:35) he is called SACAR, which is, perhaps, the better reading (Kennicott, Dissert. p. 203). (See David).
