Tellssar [1]

Isaiah 37:12. Thelasar,  2 Kings 19:12. "Hill (or sanctuary) of Asshur"; a place wrested from the children of Eden by Assyria. Somewhere in western Mesopotamia; associated with Gozan, Haran, and Rezeph, in the hill country above the upper Mesopotamian plain, from which rises the river Khabour. The targum on  Genesis 10:12 understands Tellssar to be Resen.
