Phrurai . In Ad. Est 11:1 the Book of Esther is called ‘the epistle of Phrurai’ ( i.e. ‘Purim’ [wh. see]).

frū´rı̄ , frū´rā́ - ı̄ ( Φρουραί , Phrouraı́ ; also in Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Alexandrinus as Φρουραία , Phrouraı́a and Φρουρίμ , Phrourı́m ; the King James Version Phurim ): In Additions to Esther 11:1 , "the epistle of Phrurai" means the preceding Book of Esther. See Purim .
