Sir William Scroggs [1]

An infamous Judge of Charles II.'s reign, who became Chief-Justice of the King's Bench in 1678, and whose name is associated with all manner of injustice and legal cor ruption; was impeached in 1680, and pensioned off by the king; d . 1683.
