(Heb. Pethuel', פְּתוּאֵל , Stamp or Engraving Of God; but according to others, i.q. מַתוּאֵל , Methuel', i.e., Folk Of God; Sept. Βαθουήλ ), the father of the prophet Joel ( Joel 1:1). B.C. ante 800.
