1: Φρίσσω (Strong'S #5425 — Verb — phrisso — fris'-so )

primarily, "to be rough, to bristle," then, "to shiver, shudder, tremble," is said of demons,  James 2:19 , RV, "shudder" (AV, "tremble"). Cp.  Matthew 8:29 , indicating a cognizance of their appointed doom.
