Di'mon. (river bed). The waters of Dimon. Some streams on the east of the Dead Sea, in the land of Moab, against which Isaiah uttered denunciation. Isaiah 15:9. Gesenius conjectures that the two names Dimon and Dibon are the same.

(דִּימוֹן, by an interchange of letters for דּיבוֹן, Dib n, for the sake of alliteration with דָּם, blood, in the same verse; Sept. Δειμών v.r. ῾Ρεμμών, Vulg. Dibon), a city of the Moabites, with streams ("waters") adjacent (Isaiah 15:9); elsewhere (as in Isaiah 15:2) more properly called DIBON (See Dibon) (q.v.).
