Parschal Terry [1]
a Presbyterian minister, was born at Aquebogue, Long Island, N. Y., Nov. 3, 1806; was licensed to preach by the Methodist Protestant Church of New York; preached at Aquebogue for two years; was ordained, by the Congregational Convention of Long Island in 1831, and labored for a number of years at Patchogue; but, feeling the need of a more thorough course of theology, studied in the seminary attached to Yale College, graduated in 1840, and became a member of Onondaga Presbytery.
