He entered Yale [[College]] in 1779 and graduated in 1783. After studying theology two years under Dr. Salter, he was licensed to preach, and on Dec. 7, 1785, was ordained pastor of the [[Church]] in Longmeadow, Conn. Here he continued his pastorate until his death, Oct. 3, 1819. He was the father of Revs. [[Richard]] and [[Charles]] Backus Storr. He published a [[Sermon]] and the installation of Rev.
