He was converted in 1814, admitted into the itinerancy in the [[Baltimore]] [[Conference]] in 1821, and served the [[Church]] effectively until 1830, when his health gave way, and he took a superannuated relation. As his strength permitted, he still went about doing good. He died Sept. 4, 1846. Mr. [[Shepherd]] possessed powers of mind above mediocrity, as a good and useful preacher, and died in the faith.
