He was converted in 1822, licensed to preach in 1837, and received into the [[Michigan]] Conference, which then embraced Knox County, O., where he resided. The range of his itinerant labors was within the limits of the North Ohio Conference. He died at Delaware, O., in January, 1848. Mr. Sawyer's life was one of great excellence and moral beauty, and his ministry was eminently useful. See Minutes of Conferences, 4, 266. (J.L.S.) </p>
