After the death of cardinal Baronius (who was also a member of the [[Congregation]] of the Oratory), Rinaldi wrote a continuation of his Ecclesiastical Annals from 1198 (where the former left off) to 1564, when the [[Council]] of [[Trent]] was dissolved. Rinaldi's addition to the work consists of ten large folio volumes, published at different periods from 1646 to 1677.
