Thomas Livingston Mcbryde [1]
a Presbyterian minister, was born in Abbeville District, S. C.. Feb. 25, 1817; pursued his literary course in Franklin College, Athens, Ga., graduating in 1837; entered the theological seminary in Columbia, S. C.; and in 1839 was licensed to preach by Harmony Presbytery; was appointed missionary to China in 1839, and sailed for.
