After a brief course of instruction under Mr. Wheelock at Lebanon, he was sent, at the age of fifteen, as a schoolmaster to the Six [[Nations]] of Indians in New York, and remained there a couple of years. Afterwards he spent a vagrant life for some time, until, during a fit of sickness occasioned by his irregularities, he became a sincere penitent, and determined to preach the [[Gospel]] of Christ. He was soon licensed to preach, and for several years was a missionary in the State of New York. He was well acquainted with theology. The date of his death is not known to us. </p>
