<p> a Scotch prelate, was born in 1628, consecrated bishop of [[Brechin]] in 1678, and was translated to the see of [[Aberdeen]] in 1682, where he sat until the Revolution, in 1688. He died at his house of Deihead, in the parish of Coupar, in Angus, September 29, 1715. See Keith, Scottish Bishops, page 134, 168. </p>
