In 1854 he removed to Markham, Canada, where he was licensed to preach by the [[Canada]] Wesleyan Church. In 1860 he united with the [[Evangelical]] Association, was ordained, and appointed to Seneca charge. In 1867 he returned to the Methodist Episcopal Church, and was received as a member of the East Genesee Conference.
