The best of his works are, St. Cecilia, in the church of Santa Maria; St. Antonio, in San Niccolo; St. Carlo, in Santa Agnello; The Death of the [[Virgin]] and The Assumption, in Santa Anna di Lombardi. Caracciolo (Or Caraccioli), Giovanni Battista
(called Battistello), a Neapolitan painter, was born about 1580, and studied under F. Imperato, and afterwards under Caravaggio. He also studied the works of Annibale Caracci at Rome.
