He was ordained by the North [[River]] [[Presbytery]] in 1817, and spent a year as missionary in Ohio, Michigan, New York, and Pennsylvania. His first charge was Westfield, N.Y. (1819-22), and his next Lowville (1825-29), and afterwards he served at [[Denmark]] and Whitestown, N. Y., and Dixon, Ill. He died at the last-named place, Jan. 30, 1868. See Gen.
