a Baptist minister, was born at Deerfield, N. H., Oct. 10, 1810. He fitted for college at the academy in New Hampton, and graduated at Brown University in 1837. He studied at the Newton Theological Institution for a short time, and then was a teacher for several years in Wrentham, Mass.; Providence, R. I.; Eldridge, Monroe, Brockport, N. Y., and some other places. He was ordained as pastor of the Church in Delavan, Wis., in April, 1862. He died in Chicago, Ill., April 26,1865.
