He was educated at the Episcopal [[Academy]] at [[Cheshire]] and subsequently studied under bishop Griswold of Rhode Island; was ordained deacon in 1820, and afterwards priest. -His only cure was that of the "Old Narragansett Church" at Wickford, R. I. In 1855 he removed to Brooklyn, N. Y., with impaired health, officiating occasionally as his strength permitted. He died in that city, Sept. 10, 1864. See Amer. Quar. [[Church]] Rev.
