He experienced conversion in 1824, soon after was licensed to exhort, then to preach, and in 1833 united with the [[Baltimore]] Conference. He died in Washington, D.C., January 17, I869. Mr. Brown's endowments were of a high order. He was strong in mind, diligent in study, earliest and impressive in manner, fearless in utterance; genial, witty, and even playful.
