an English Congregational minister, was born about the year 1810, and educated at the Borough-road Training School, from which place he went to teach a school connected with Hanover chapel, Toxteth Park, Liverpool. While here he was converted and began to preach, and in 1837 entered the Hull Townmission. He afterwards spent a short time in Hull College, and was appointed evangelist at Ousefleet, Whitgift, and Reedness, by the East Riding Home Missionary Society.
