John Wesley Bond [1]
a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Baltimore, Dec. 11, 1784, entered the Baltimore Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1810, and was appointed successively to Calvert, Fairfax, and Great Falls Circuits, after which he travelled as companion to the venerable Bishop Asbury until the death of the latter. In 1816 he was appointed to Severn Circuit, and in 1817 to Harford. Here he contracted the fever of which he died-Jan. 22, 1819.
