a Congregational minister, was born in Massachusetts in 1807. He graduated from Yale College in 1826, studied theology for one year in Andover Seminary, and was ordained December 25, 1829. He was tutor in Yale College in 1828 and 1829, studying in the theological department there at the same time. le became pastor of the First Church, Lowell, Massachusetts, in 1829; of Kirk Street Church, in the same city, in 1845, and died there, January 14, 1870.
