For many years he resided in London, where he was engaged in trade. He first appeared as a minister in the forty-first year of his age, "in which character he was well accepted by his friends." He was useful in his vocation, not only in his native land, but also in the island of Guernsey, where he made two religious visits, and in the south of France.
