a Jewish philosopher, was born at Berlin, Oct. 18, 1762. He studied philosophy and mathematics, and lectured on philosophy at the University of Vienna from. 1793 to 1798. He then went to Berlin, devoting his time to literary pursuits, and died there March 24, 1832.
