Bacherius (or Bakere), Peter
a Flemish Roman Catholic preacher, was born at Ghent in 1517. At the age of twenty he became a Dominican, and studied under Peter Soto. He was one of the most celebrated preachers of his day, and died Feb. 12, 1601.
