In 1820 he became pastor at Tyldesley, near Bolton; thence he removed to Hilton Lane, Worsley, near Manchester, and from there to Tideswell, Derbyshire. In 1834 he became pastor of [[Bethesda]] Chapel, Leigh. He died Oct. 12,1858. Mr. Atkin was mighty in the Scriptures. See (Lond.) Cong. Year-book, 1859, p. 191. </p>

Daniel Atkin [1]

an English Congregational minister, was born at Kendal, Jan. 10, 1770. In 1788 he removed to Warrington, and became united in Christian fellowship with the Independent Church. In 1820 he became pastor at Tyldesley, near Bolton; thence he removed to Hilton Lane, Worsley, near Manchester, and from there to Tideswell, Derbyshire.
