a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born near Delaware City, Del., Nov. 12,1817. He embraced religion in his fifteenth year; received license to preach in 1837, and in 1840 united with the Philadelphia Conference, in which he labored zealously until his death, May 28, 1876.
