mē´hẽr ( מחיר , meḥı̄r , "price," "hire"): A descendant of Judah, son of Chelub, nephew of Shuah ( 1 Chronicles 4:11 ). Perug, a Chaldee name of equivalent meaning, is given for this person in the Targum of Rabbi Joseph.
