Morrish Bible Dictionary [1]

Levitical city of Zebulun,  Joshua 21:35; but it is not mentioned in the cities of this tribe in  Joshua 19:10-16 , and in the Levitical cities of Zebulun in  1 Chronicles 6:77 the name of Rimmon occurs, which makes it appear probable that the two names refer to the same place.

Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible [2]

Dimnah . A Levitical city in Zebulun (  Joshua 21:35 ). The name is possibly a copyist’s error for Rimmon (cf.   1 Chronicles 6:22 ,   Joshua 19:13 ).

 Joshua 21:35 1 Chronicles 6:77  Joshua 19:13Rimmon

Fausset's Bible Dictionary [4]

(Hebrews Dinznah', דִּמְנָה , a dung-hill; Sept. Δεμνά , Vulg. Danna ), a Levitical city of the tribe of Zebulon, assigned to the family of the Merarites ( Joshua 21:35). Gesenius, however, suggests that in this place we ought rather to read רַמֹּנָה , Rimmonah , the REMMON (See Remmon) (q.v.) mentioned in a similar connection in  Joshua 19:13;  1 Chronicles 6:62 (see Bertheau, Chronic, pages 72, 73; Movers, Chronik, page 72).

International Standard Bible Encyclopedia [8]

dim´na ( דּמנה , dimnāh , "dung"; Δαμνά , Damná ): A city of the Merarite Levites in the territory of Zebulun ( Joshua 21:35 ). The name is probably a clerical error for Rimmon.
