sal´i - moth (Codex Vaticanus Σαλειμώθ , Saleimṓth ; Codex Alexandrinus Ἀσσαλιμώθ , 'Assalimṓth ; the latter is due to a wrong division of syllables; the King James Version Assailmoth ): The same as "Shelomith" ( Ezra 8:10 ). Salimoth, the son of Josaphias, of the family of Banias, and with him 130 men went up to Jerusalem with Ezra (1 Esdras 8:36).
