<p> a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born at Springfield, Vt., April 26, 1809; was converted in 1830; licensed to preach in 1831; and joined the New [[England]] [[Conference]] in 1834. On the division of the conference he became a member of the [[Providence]] Conference. His appointments were as follows: Barnstable, Mansfield, Franklin, Scitico, Tolland, Glastenbury, Wapping, North-west Bridgewater, Woodstock, [[Square]] Pond, [[Norwich]] Falls, Eastford, South Coventry, West Thompson, South Glastenbury, Wapping, Moosup, Staffordville, Tolland, Windsorville, and Quarryville, where he died, March 28, 1871. Mr. Walker was a man of great devotedness, faith, and zeal. See Minutes of Annual Conferences, 1872, p. 37. </p>
