He was educated by the Jesuits, was for some time professor of belles-lettres at Nantes, professor of theology and Hebrew at Arles, in 1783 superior of the college at Pdzenas, in 1787 at Rochelle, emigrated in 1791 to England, and died at Limoges, January 9, 1832.
