In 1835 he was admitted on trial into the [[Baltimore]] Conference, and was immediately transferred to the [[Illinois]] Conference. He served as presiding elder on six different districts, and was three times delegate to the General Conference. His death occurred Sept. 7, 1871. a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church, was born in Augusta County, Va., Nov. 11, 1811. He professed conversion and joined the Church when twenty years of age. In 1835 he was admitted on trial into the Baltimore Conference, and was immediately transferred to the Illinois Conference.
