In 1778 he was made a member of the [[Academy]] of Besancon. He submitted to the decrees of 1789, and in 1795 the National Convention voted him a pension of 1500 livres. Rose died Aug. 12, 1805. His works are, Traite Elementaire de Morale (2 vols. 12mo): — La Morale Evangelique (1772, 2 vols. 12mo): — Traite sur le Providence: — L'Esprit des [[Peres]] (1791, 3 vols. 12mo). He was also a good mathematician, and sent papers to the Academy of Sciences, Paris. </p>
