Philo in the first edition of Herzog's Real-Encyklop.: — Die messianischen Erwartungen des Juden Philo (Basle, 1870): — Erklarung des Barnabasbriefes (Leipsic, 1869). After his death Riggenbach and Orelli published Des Flavius Josephus Schrift gegen den Apion. Text und Erklisrung (Basle, 1877). See Zuchold, Bibl. Theol. 2:916; Furst, Bibl. Jud. 2:401. (B.P.)
