a celebrated Dutch Orientalist, was born at Oppyck, in the Netherlands, about 1570. He was professor of Hebrew at Harderwyk until 1627, when he was called to the University of Leyden as professor of Hebrew, and some time after was made professor of theology in that high school. He died in 1648. L'Empereur edited the Commentary of Aben-Ezra and Mos.
