(Heb. Kattath', קִטָּת , Small, for קִטֶּנֶת ; Sept. Καττάθ v. r. Κατανάθ ), one of the cities of Zebulon, mentioned first in a list of towns apparently along the southern border from Mount Tabor westerly ( Joshua 19:15); and (notwithstanding the slight difference in radicals) probably the same with the KARTAH (See Kartah) (q.v.) of Joshua 21:34; perhaps also with Kitron ( Judges 1:30). Schwarz (Palest. p. 172), by a tortuous derivation. through the Talmud, seeks to identify it with Cana of Galilee.
