a Methodist Episcopal minister was born at Barnstable, Massachusetts, November 21, 1780. He joined the Church in early life, and in 1802 was admitted into the Maine Conference, in which he served faithfully until poverty compelled him in 1809 to locate, when he retired to New Gloucester, and nine years later moved to Durham, where he died, September 15, 1856. Mr. Cobb represented Durham nine years in the legislature, was two years a senator from Cumberland, and a two years a member of the executive council.
