After his ordination he labored at different places until 1863, when he was called as professor of homiletics to the [[Divinity]] School at Philadelphia. In '1873 he resigned his professorship, and accepted the rectorship of St. Andrew's Church, West Philadelphia, where he died May 24,1882. He was the author of a volume entitled Questions on the Gospels, and an occasional contributor to [[Church]] periodicals. (B. P.) </p>
