He was converted when about sixteen emigrated to [[America]] in 1849; and in 1851 entered the [[Wisconsin]] Conference, wherein he served the Church: until his decease, Sept. 24 1865. Mr. Chester,: though not. a brilliant, was yet a faithful and useful preacher. He was careful and energetic in all his domestic and ministerial duties.
