John Chin [1]
an English Baptist minister, was born at Hinton, near Blandford, Dorsetshire, in May 1773. He was baptized in London, and united with the Church in Church Street, Blackfriars Road. He was ordained December 29, 1807, as pastor of the newly formed Church in Lion Street, Walworth, where he remained about twenty-six years, until disabled by ill-health. He died August 28, 1839.
