<p> (שַׁרְיוֹן, ''Shiryon', Glittering'' ) occurs in the description of Goliath's armor (&nbsp;1 Samuel 17:5), and also of Saul's (&nbsp;1 Samuel 17:38). (See [[Armor]]). The plural forms are found in &nbsp;Nehemiah 4:16; &nbsp;2 Chronicles 26:14; where they are translated "habergeons" (q.v.). The kindred terms, שַׁרְיָה (''Shiryah', "'' habergeon," &nbsp;Job 41:26), שִׁרְיָן (''Shiryan','' "harness," &nbsp;1 Kings 22:34; &nbsp;2 Chronicles 18:33; "breast-plate," &nbsp;Isaiah 59:17), and סַרְיוֹן (siryon', "brigandines," &nbsp;Jeremiah 46:4; &nbsp;Jeremiah 51:3), were probably less complete kinds of the same, i.e. ''Corslets.''
