<p> an English divine, was born June 4,1758. Of the earlier part of his life we have record. At the time of his decease he was vicar of Newcastle-upon- Tyne, chancellor of Carlisle, professor of Arabic in the University of Cambridge, and chaplain to the bishop of Durham.
