He graduated at Jefferson College, Pa., in 1849, and at [[Princeton]] Theological Seminary in 1852. He was licensed b3' the New [[Brunswick]] [[Presbytery]] the same year, and installed pastor of the churches of [[Bethlehem]] and Burton's Hill, Greene' County, Ala., where he remained for six years. In 1858 he was elected professor of languages in [[Austin]] College, Texas. In 1859 he was called to [[Oakland]] College, Miss. He died Feb. 14, 1867. See Wilson, Presb. Hist. Almanac, 1868, p. 319. </p>
