John Burnet [1]
a Scotch' Baptist minister, was born at Annan, on the borders of Scotland, Jan. 19, 1778, Early in life he became a member of the Independeni Church in Blackburn, in which place he resided; not long after he joined the Baptist Church in Preston, He removed to Lytham in 1819. For several years before this he had preached, more or less, in villages; and now became pastor of the Church in his new home. This position he occupied thirty-one years.
